Understanding us humans has always been a strong interest of mine and I have focused my whole professional career on working in the field of Clinical Psychology. I spent many years gaining experience as an assistant psychologist after completing my degree in Psychology, qualifying from the Doctorate Course in 2006 and beginning work as a Clinical Psychologist in CAMHS. In 2016 I left the NHS to work independently, continuing to support families presenting with a wide range of psychological difficulties, as well as teaching PACE and becoming a DDP therapist.
Over the years that I have worked with children, young people and their families, I have developed an approach to understanding and supporting others that provides validation for their experience, knowledge of psychological theory and help to manage their difficulties, all with a huge sense of compassion and non-judgement.
Being informed by theory, knowledge and experience allows me to understand my clients and offer a tailored intervention for their individual needs.
